Label and take pictures of your items before packing
If you're going with a professional moving company it's best to label all your boxes with "fragile, handle with care, or heavy" to notify the movers of the contents inside. Put screws and bolts into plastic bags and tape these to the back of the furniture pieces. Be sure to take pictures of your decor, furniture, and other items that can possibly be damaged if not handled properly.
